Sharpie’s Charity Challenge 20 March 2010

Sharpie’s Charity Challenge was started in 2005 raising $1,500 and has grown every year since raising over $30,000 in 5 years. Sharpie will be supporting HeartKids this year – click for more details.

Branch network/coffee mornings

To enable families to offer support to each other in their local community, HeartKids Victoria has established a number of branches within Victoria and Tasmania. Some branches co-ordinate coffee mornings to encourage families to meet.

Livewire Members (members.livewire.org.au) is a free, safe and fun online community for young people, aged over 10 and under 21, living with a serious illness, chronic health condition or disability.
Livewire is an initiative of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, developed to provide a safe and supportive online space where young people can hang out, connect, share experiences, creatively express themselves and know that they are not alone.

The Herald Sun/City Link Run for the Kids is being held on Sunday 14 March 2010. We would like HeartKids to have a large presence at this wonderful event which raises funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

20 Days of Giving

As part of the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation 20 Days of Giving campaign, the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation, in conjunction with 3AW, gave away $5,000 every weekday in July to grass roots human-focused charities nominated by listeners. HeartKids Victoria was thrilled to be the first recipients of this campaign.
