Retail Food Group HeartKids Campaign August 2010
For the first time ever in August, Retail Food Group will band all of its 6 brands & stores together which is over 1100 outlets, in an effort to raise over a million dollars for HeartKids. Their goal is to drive valuable awareness of HeartKids to the Australian public and rally them to help join the fight to help HeartKids. All of their stores will be bursting with HeartKids Posters, Heart Balloons, Heart Bunting, staff will be wearing Heart pins, cabinets will be selling Heart products and donation tins will be on counters all in an effort to raise as much money as they can.
Cuppa for HeartKids - August/September 2010
Join in the fun and host a Cuppa for HeartKids throughout August and September. Please register on-line at http://www.cuppaforheartkids.org.au and receive a pack full of goodies to make your event a special one.
Branch network/coffee mornings
To enable families to offer support to each other in their local community, HeartKids Victoria has established a number of branches within Victoria and Tasmania. Some branches co-ordinate coffee mornings to encourage families to meet.
Brumby’s Geelong Baking Demo

Tassie Muscle & Classic Car Cruise 31 October 2010
Aussie Coupes present the Tassie Muscle & Classic Car Cruise on Sunday 31 October 2010.
All proceeds from the day go to HeartKids.
Run Melbourne 18 July 2010
Thank you to the participants in Run Melbourne – the HeartKids team had over 50 team members and so far has raised over $15,000.
HeartKids Tasmania Car & Bike Show 6 February 2011
HeartKids Tasmania are organising a Car and Bike Show at Entally Estate, 782 Meander Valley Rd, Hadspen, Tasmania on 6 February 2011.
The organisers are looking for voluteers for the Heartkids Car and bike show – they need Gate people, parking attendants. Also looking for people who want to come and sell things, ie: garage stuff, second hand clothing, crafts, anything you want to sell,buy and promote, this is the place to do it………. Tassie event - Devonport - date to be advised
Tassie families – Come and have fun at Jungle Gyms Adventure for Kids in Devonport. This event was originally advertised on the 8th May but has now been postponed. New date to be confirmed soon.
Teen Camp 2010
The sixth national HeartKids Teen Camp was held in Brisbane from Friday 22nd January – Monday 25th January with over 100 heart kids, siblings and supervisors from right around the country in attendance. The camp was generously supported by Variety Clubs from around Australia and by Roche Diagnostics. The camp proved to be an outstanding success, with the overwhelming sentiment being that it was by far the best held.

KEEPING YOUNG PEOPLE WITH A SERIOUS ILLNESS, CHRONIC HEALTH CONDITION OR DISABILITY CONNECTED
Livewire Members (members.livewire.org.au) is a free, safe and fun online community for young people, aged over 10 and under 21, living with a serious illness, chronic health condition or disability.
Livewire is an initiative of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, developed to provide a safe and supportive online space where young people can hang out, connect, share experiences, creatively express themselves and know that they are not alone.

Christmas party 2010
Keep Saturday 27th November free this year as we will celebrate Christmas again at the Melbourne Zoo. Further details will appear in our Winter or Spring newsletter.
